“功能”在英语中该怎么说？

如 “这个编辑器不具备代码高亮的功能”，翻译成：

"This editor does not have the ____ of syntax highlighting."

ability? function? feature? 似乎都不合适。

当然这句话可以翻译成 "This editor could not highlight syntax."，可我还是想知道“功能”具体该翻译成什么呢。

说明 feature 主要还是用来形容有区别性特点的功能，翻译通常而言的功能不大合适。

闲来没事google了一下。
居然还是个历史遗留问题。
我总结了一下，functionality or feature 都可以用了。
不过还是偏向于用feature.
第一，和UI有关，是区别于其它editor的一个特色
第二，functionality 隐含着价值这个意思。
第三，github上很多都有个feature list
